DISCUSSION QUESTIONS ON
"HOW TO BE SAVED"
1. Is man basically good or bad?
- If left to himself would man do good or evil?
- Is man "totally depraved"? (incapable of doing good)
- Ans. Ephesians 2:1-3 "Were by nature, the children of wrath."
- Psalm 51:5
- Romans 5:12, 14
2. What did we get as a result of the sin of Adam and Eve?
- Discuss: Guilt vs. Consequence
- T U L I P:
Calvinism Other names
- Total Depravity Original Sin
- Unconditional Election Predestination
- Limited Atonement Sal. for Elcet
- Irrestable Grace Direct Op. of H. S.
- Preservation of the Saints Once Saved Always Saved
NOTE: If you accept the "T", the rest has to follow.
- "T" Man is not able to do good
- "U" God decides who will be saved
- "L" Christ only died for the elect
- "I" It requires a direct operation of the Holy Spirit to change man's sinful nature
- "P" If salvation is a work of God, it must not fail, therefore, man is eternally secure and can not fall away into sinful practices
Ans. We suffer the consequences of the "original sin". We are not guilty of that sin. Consequences are passed on from one generation to another. The guilt of sin is an individual matter. We will be judged by the "deeds done in our body whether they be good or bad."

- Grace - Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5
