Should we attend a denomination?

1. NO

   1. We can not worship in error and be OK

   2. We can not support them in their error

   3. We must not fellowship works of darkness. Ephesians 5:11

   4. We must not bid them godspeed (wish them well) 2 John 9-11

2. Are there situations where me might attend?

   1. IF we are NOT there to worship

      1. Special events – show – musical event – recital

      2. Family or friend wedding

      3. Boy Scout Eagle badge awarded

      4. Graduation from a college – Bethel or Union

      5. High School baccalaureate service

   2. IF we are not in support of their error – religious debate

   3. IF we are there to discuss truth with a friend or relative

3. Some difficult issues – attitude

   1. Are you going to worship or is it entertainment?

      1. If your mind is on praising God – wrong

      2. If your mind is on how your grandchild is singing – OK

   2. Child is going to sing a solo at the Christmas pageant – Are you going to worship or see your grandchild perform?

4. Questions:

   1. Can you attend – and not worship?

   2. Can you attend and not appear to support their error?

   3. Why are you going?
