INTRODUCTION:

  1. Story of wealthy family having dinner party. They bragged on the yeast rolls their cook makes. The rolls served were flat as pancakes. “What happened to the yeast rolls?” The cook explained what had happened. “They squatted to rise and got cooked in the squat.”

  2. Have you been there? Ready to do great things – only to get cooked in the squat!

  3. This sermon is part one of two parts – The state of the church

    1. President gives a state of the union address in January each year.

    2. This is a “state of the church” address.

    3. Not a state of the churches in the USA – but Priceville – Us – this church
