2 Corinthians 5:16-21

1. Old is gone – 17a

   1. Last year's problems – sickness, financial woes, family problems

   2. Last year's success – can't rest on your past, keep working, doing

   3. In the past – Flesh – material, financial, health, work, sports – 16

   4. Philippians 3:12-13 “forgetting those things which are behind”

   5. Put the past behind you – done, over, can't go back, no mulligans

2. All is new – 17b

   1. Reconciled – 18-19

      1. Brought back to friendship

      2. Returned with a fresh start

   2. Ambassadors – 20

      1. We now can represent Christ on earth

   3. Righteousness – 21

      1. Righteous = made right

      2. Now we are doing what is right

3. All is of God – 18

   1. James 1:17 every good gift is from God

   2. Our focus – should be spiritual, not material
