What is the biblical meaning of dominion?

1.    When you are in charge of something or rule it, you have dominion over it. The most famous use of the word occurs in the Bible, when God grants people dominion over animals.

2.    If you know the word domination, then you won't be surprised that dominion also has to do with a type of ruling over others.

Over what do we (humans) have dominion?

1.    Animals, fish, insects – Genesis 1:26

2.    Plants, trees, vegetation – Genesis 1:29

3.    All the earth – Genesis 1:26

4.    Death – Romans 6:5-6; 9

5.    Sin – Romans 6:14

6.    Kings / Priests – Revelation 1:5-6

7.    Law of Moses – Romans 7:1-4
