"God Took Him"

                                   Hebrews 11:5

 

  I.  Enoch walked with God.

       A.  Genesis 5:21-22  Of others in this genealogy it says,

"And he lived," but "Enoch walked with God”

–denotes close relationship.

       B.  1 Jn. 1:3-7  Fellowship with Father & Son

       C.  Hebrew writer quoted Septuagint, "pleased God".

       D.  Hebrews 11:6  "But without faith it is impossible

       E.  Enoch--rewarded by being taken home.

 

 II.  Enoch talked for God.

       A.  Jude 14-15  Prophesied concerning Lord's coming and

the judgment of the wicked.

       B.  2 Thessalonians 1:7-9  "And to you who are

       C.  Hebrews 9:27  "And as it is appointed unto

       D.  Matthew 25:31-32

       E.  2 Corinthians 5:10  "For we must all appear

 

III.  Enoch was taken home by God.

       A.  Hebrews 11:5  Translated–transfer from one place to

another.

       B.  Genesis 5:23-24  Of others in genealogy it says, “and

he died", but Enoch "was not, for God took him."

       C.  All need to be transformed...

1.  Romans 6:3-7

2.  Colossians 1:13  "He has delivered

       D.  ...to be transferred!  1 Corinthians 15:42-44; 50-52
