INTRODUCTION:
- Some remove all emotion from religion – cold, study,
decide

just feelings

goddess

habits must change
Emotions
- Emotions are God’s gift to us
- They make us human
- No emotions = a machine
- Emotions are an important part of faith
- Salvation = JOY
- NT emphasis on joy, love, glad, control anger, not
hate, love
- There is a drawback to being TOO rational

feeling

God’s will
- Place of emotions
- Some see emotions as the caboose – the end of the
process
- Actually – the coal car – the fuel for the engine
When God is alive in our heart – there is excitement.
- Early Christians were known for their excitement

selling postcards for 25 cents.
- “I’m raising one million dollars”
- “Are you raising all that by your self?”
- “No my little brother is helping me.”
