Answer to problem of suffering – not God's love
When God talks with Job – noting about I love you
He does not explain “why” all this happened
God's focus is on power and control
Who created all these things?
Do you know the secrets of the universe?
Not Job! Only God!
When people are suffering, remind them that God is in control.
All suffering is not punitive
Job did not suffer because he was bad, did wrong, being punished
John 9:1-3 – man born blind – who sinned?
Man does not understand everything God does
