The virgin birth is Jesus is a historical fact

  1. Before the conception – Gabriel announced a virgin birth (Luke 1:31)

  2. She would have a son, His name would be Jesus (Matthew 1:21)

  3. Mary’s response – How can this be? I know not a man. (Luke 1:27)


The virgin birth of Jesus is the fulfillment of OT prophecy

  1. 700 BC – Isaiah 7:14

  2. Who was the prophecy speaking about?

  4. The event with Mary is the fulfillment of Isaiah 7:14


The virgin birth of Jesus is proof that He was the Son of God

  1. When Jesus spoke about his mother – He spoke of Mary

Conclusion:

  1. Scoffers laugh at the idea of a virgin birth

  2. These same people believe that humans came from a slime pit – evolution

  3. We do not have to back down, apologize for this truth

  4. Jesus is the unique, virgin born, Son of God
