 INTRODUCTION:

1. You can study angels in the OT, Life of Christ, NT church
2. But – for some strange reason – many don’t believe angels are working today
3. Reason? – Spiritual Gifts ceased; Revelation ended
4. Does that mean that God stopped?

 PROVIDENCE

1. Angels for the destiny of nations
2. Angels watch after Christians – Hebrews 1:14
3. Angels are always near, always able
4. They are “heavenly deacons” serving God
5. 2 Kings 6:16 – They that are with us are more than they with them
6. Romans 8:31 – If God is for us, who can be against us?

 OVERCOMING TEMPTATION

1. 1 Corinthians 10:13 – God is faithful, will provide a way of escape
2. Matthew 6:13 – Lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil
3. Matthew 18:10 – Their angels do behold the face of the Father

 ANSWERING PRAYER

1. James 1:5-6 – Need wisdom? Ask God
2. Daniel 9:20-23 – to give wisdom and understanding
3. Acts 8:26 – Angel sent Philip to help a man understand (wisdom) scripture
4. Acts 10:1-6 – Angel told Cornelius to send for Peter – to learn salvation
5. “Guard, guide and direct us” – HOW?
6. How do you expect God to “give the preacher a ready recollection”?
7. James 5:13-16 – Pray for the sick, they will recover – HOW?
