Human Background – 18

His mother was Mary. She was human.

He had brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles.

His father (Joseph) was a carpenter.

Gentile Background – 5-6

There are four women in the genealogy of Jesus.

Tamar – daughter-in-law of Jacob – Canaanite.

Rahab – Harlot from Jericho – Amorite

Ruth – followed Naomi home – Moabite

Bathsheba – wife of Uriah, adultery with David – Hitite

Jewish Background – tribe of Judah

He was "legally" of the tribe of Judah. Hebrews 7:12-14

Jospeh was his "foster" father.

Royal Background – David and Solomon

Jesus was in the Royal bloodline.

He would inherit the throne – It was His by right.

Holy Background – Holy Spirit

Jesus is from God. He is God.

Eternal. Creator. All powerful, All knowing, etc.

Jesus is part of the Godhead – trinity – 3 persons = One Divine Nature
