- As we think about America and patriotism today –
- Ask some questions.
Does God bless nations?

Is there a national sin?
- There are many national sins –
Homosexuality, Abortion, Humanism, Immorality, Violence
- These are a disgrace to our nation.
- Greatest national sin – Forgetting God
Psalm 9:17 Sin is a reproach to any people, nation forgets God, in hell
Hosea 4:6 You have forgotten God, I will forget your children
Hebrews 3:12 Beware lest you forget the Lord you God
Does God care about politics, who is president?
- CAUTION:
God is not Republican or Democrat.
Church must not divide over political views.
There are many issues – budget, taxes, SS, foreign aid – where we may
disagree and still be in full fellowship in Christ
- God is concerned about the world, sin, world affairs.
- This is God's world and he is ruler yet.
- God does allow bad men to rule.
Does God judge nations?
- Eternal judgment is individual – according to our works
- There are other judgments – Religious, Moral, National
- Your eternal destiny is in your hands, not president, supreme court
- Heaven or hell is not set by an act of congress.
