Introduction
Mama skunk passing a paper mill – Something really stinks around here
“An insincere smile is better than a sincere frown.”
Some people brighten a room by leaving it.
“Even alone, he is in bad company.”
Smile – It is not a lie, just the truth ahead of time.
Aren’t you glad you’re a Christian? – Notify your face!
Miserable Christians
Some have left Christ to dance to Satan’s tune
Hebrews 6:4-6
Those who walk with Jesus are miserable anywhere else
Pharisees
They were known for making rules, strict letter of the law, judgmental
They were not happy unless they are sharing their misery
We all have problems – family, health, job, financial, social, marital, etc.
No commitment
Many know God’s law – but not God’s love
They know justice – but not mercy
They are in the Word – but the Word is not in them
They follow intellectually – but not emotionally (with the heart)
They are on the fringe – but not involved
