INTRODUCTION:

  1. Senior members make an impact on all other groups in the church.
  2. Here are some reasons for this impact.

Battles of the past

  1. Economic struggles – start from scratch, buy land, build a building
  2. Established policy – set precedence for how things are done

We enjoy the fruit of their labors

  1. They fought the battles, we pick the fruit
  2. They smoothed the way.
  3. They removed the stumps, and boulders.

Church is on a solid foundation

  1. Elders, preachers, deacons, dedicated teachers, workers
  2. Think about elders, preachers, deacons of the past
  3. Think about teachers that taught many of you

Continued concerns for us

  1. Do we have the dedication of our seniors?
  2. Do we know doctrine, morals, etc?
  3. What direction will we take the church in the next few years?

Faithful in spite of problems

  1. Failing health – eyes, hearing, walking (wheelchair, cane, walker)
  2. If you can not see or hear, why do you come?
"Satan will know whose side I am on."
